Berry Good Sangria

Summertime to me is ________?   How would you answer that question?

Summertime to me is  spending time with my kids, being outdoors, swimming, hiking, biking.  Summertime is also a time for refreshing summer drinks.  I love anything from iced coffees and teas to lighter wines, bbq wines, sangria’s, slushes……basically anything you would top with a little umbrella.

Cocktailumbrellas

When hand selecting our wine list, especially the sweet and fruity wines, we wanted wines that were unique, smooth, light, sweet and could be enjoyed on their own or used to be made into delicious summer drinks.  All of our sweet and fruity wines make great sangrias or slushes.  This particular day was a girl’s day.  I  invited some of my girls over to enjoy an afternoon in the sun, no kids,  just the moms to enjoy some Grace Time and re-charge.  What a fun and relaxing afternoon.  The sun was shining, there was a light breeze and we just hung out laughing, sharing stories, enjoying each other’s company.

I love these opportunities to create new beverages.  I like to dabble…. sometimes it works out, and many times, I end up deferring to the experts.  But it sure is fun to try!    One of the drinks I made for the girls was the following Berry Good Sangria.  I love anything easy to make, very few steps and ingredients.  Keep it simple but deliver quality is our philosophy with everything.  I hope you will enjoy this beverage with some of your girlfriends.  Send us a picture and share your Grace Time American Serenade #Gracetime, #Americanserenade.
